Figures and facts, people and policy, corporate and community CCA MAKES COST REDUCTIONS CCA has announced that it is relocating its small production facility in Melbourne to its lager capital city facility. The move is aimed at increasing manufacturing efficiencies and productivity across the business. The move will however see the closure of the Bayswater facility and 57 roles made redundant. The closure will take place over the next 12 months. Additionally the move is indicative of CCA’s target of reducing over $100 million in cost savings over the next three years, as CCA Group Managing Director Alison Watkins announced in August in conjunction with the release of CCA’s interim results. “The closure of Bayswater and relocation of its three production lines to larger facilities will optimise our manufacturing footprint and is an integral part of our plan to reduce our cost base and return CCA to growth”, Ms. Watkins said. Additional cuts to the business are expected in coming months.
