Up-and-comers Cheeky Rascal cider released a limited edition cider for the colder months. The Cheeky Mulled Cider, a first of its kind in Australia, came packaged with a spicebag packed with cinnamon, star anise, orange, clove, nutmeg, vanilla bean and all-spice berry. Following the launch of thee revamped packaging for the Windy Peak range, De Bortoli Wines launched two new release reds; the Windy Peak Heathcote Shiraz 2010, with aromas of sweet berries and flavours of fruitcake, and the Windy Peak Yarra Valley Cabernet Merlot 2010, offering a bouquet of blackberry fruits and a subtle oak influence. The Hills Cider company released the limited edition ‘Hybrid Series’ Apple and Ginger Cider, crafted from fresh Adelaide Hills apples and quality Buderim ginger, the spicy warming drink has no added sugar or flavour and became a timely new addition to the Hills Cider range. Hahn released Hahn Harvest, a smooth and full flavoured Australian ale. Honey gold in colour, Hahn Harvest showed subtle hops, a slightly fruity aroma and a balance of distinctive malt characters and sweetness. Swedish cider brand Rekorderlig released its limited edition Winter Cider for the colder months, made from Rekorderlig’s apple cider base and infused with cinnamon and vanilla notes that become stronger when the cider is served warm. Brisbane-based Hard Iced Tea Brewing Company released the new, world first, alcoholic beverage range named Hard Iced Tea. Made from a blend of select teas and real lemon, the drink offers a refreshing taste experience similar to beer, without the high levels of carbohydrates, sugar and gluten. Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum announced the release of a world first in rum, the very rare Limited Edition Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Rum – Jamaica Independence Reserve. The drink comprised of rums that have been aged for a minimum for 50 years in hand selected oak barrels, and it is believed to be the oldest rum available for sale in the world. For the first time in many years, the Jack Daniel Distillery launched a new whiskey in Australia, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey. The whiskey is crafted with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and mingled with a proprietary honey liqueur resulting in a unique and smooth offering. Kirrihill Wines released its 2010 Single Vineyard Tullymore Clare Valley Shiraz, which shows ripe berry characteristics and concentration of flavours, and the 2010 Single Vineyard
